6. On the Object rollout, click Object Properties.
This opens the Object Properties dialog.
7. In the Objects In Simulation list, hig hlight all
three planes (by dragging), and then, above the
Cloth Properties group, choose Cloth. Also set
UBendto500.0 (V B end is also set to 500.0
automatically).

Next, you’ll set different Keep Shape properties
separately for each object.
8. Highlight the

then turn on Keep Shape. Retain the default
Keep Shape v alue (100.0).
10. Highlight the
reverse shape
object in the lis t,
turn on Keep Shape, and then set the Keep
Shape value to -100.0.
11. Click each object in the list to confirm the
changes, and then click OK to exit.
12. On t he Object rollout, click Simulate Lo cal.
After a few seconds, the
dont keep shape
object
flattens out, the
keep shape
object doesn’t
change, and the
reverse shape
object has, in
fact, reversed its shape, effectively c reating a
negative bend angle.
Interf ace
Objects i n Simulation—Lists objects currently
included in the simulation. To change an object’s
propert ies, first hig hlight its name in the list.
You can highlight multiple object names using
standard methods: CTRL+click, SHIFT+click,
and dragging.
Add Objects—Opens a dialog that lets you select
objects from your scene to be added to the Cloth
simulation. After adding an object with this
button, it appears in the Objec ts In Simulation list,
and an instance of the Cloth modifier is applied
to the object.
Remove—Removes objects highlighted in the
Objects In Simulation list from the simulat ion.
You cannot remove objects currently selected in
3ds Max.
