Inter face
[mai n wi ndow]—This is the main interface of the
Style dialog. The main w indow is where you can
interactively“comb”and“cut”guides,preview
hair, and apply various functions.
The Style dialog essentially has three mo des of
operation:Drag,Brush,andSelect.InDragand
Brush modes, you can choose another operation
such as Translate or Rotate to perform by dragg ing
the mouse with the left button held down. In these
modes, the selection is locked, so it doesn’t matter
where you drag, although in Brush mode only
vertices within the bru sh area are affected.
To exit Drag/Brush mode and enter Select mode,
press the ESC key. Now dragging the mouse selects
vertices within a circula r area. Various options are
available as described below.
Use the X, Y, and Z buttons on the left side of the
dialog to reset the view to one of the three cardinal
axes.TheXbuttongivesaviewalongtheXaxis
in the world coordinate system, as in the Front
viewport.TheYbuttongivesaviewalongtheY

the Z axis in the world coordinate system, looking
downward, as in the Top viewport
