respond to the motion of the body it ’s attached
to as well as external influences such as w ind and
gravity. Hair’s Dynamics functions let the hair
behave as real-world hair, in interactive (Live) or
Precomputed mode.
ModeThe method Hair uses to generate
dynamics. Livemodeissuitablefor
experimentation, but Precomputed should
be used for rendering animation with Hair.
None: Hair doesn’t simulate dynamics.
Live: Hair simulates dynamics interact ively in
the view p orts, but doesn’t generate animation
keyframesorstatfilesforthedynamics.For
best results with Live mode, turn off Display
rollout > Display Hairs group > As Geometry,
if necessary.
