Tools m enu > Align to View > Align to View dialog.
The Alig n to View dialog lets you m atch the local
axis of an object or sub-object selection with the
Z axis of the current viewport. There is also a Flip
option to reverse the selection on the Z axis. All
settings from this dialog update in the view port,
so you can preview the effect before accepting it.
You can use this dialog with any selection that can
be transformed.
Procedure
To align the local ax is of a selection with the current
viewport:
1.
Select the objects or sub-objects to align.
2. Click A lign to View.
3. Specify the local axis of the selected object to
align with the current viewport’s Z axis.
4. Select the F lip check box when you switch the
direct ion of the alignment.
The alignment takes place while the dialog is
displayed.
5. Click OK to complete the process.

options:
Align X, Align Y, Align Z—Specifies which local
axis of the selected object will be aligned with the
current viewport’s Z axis.
Flip—Switches the direction of the a li gnment.
