Parameters rollout
The Parameters rollout contains three check boxes
specific to BiFold doors.
Double Door s—Makes the door a double door,
w ith four door elements, meeting in the center.
Flip Swing—Makes the door swing in the opposite
direction from the default.
Flip Hinge—Makes the door hinged on the opposite
side from the default. Flip Hinge is unavailable
when Double Doors is on.
Windows
Create panel > G eometry > Windows
Create menu > AEC Objects
The window object lets you control details of a
window’s appearance. You can also set the windo w
to be open, partially open, or closed, and you can
animate the opening over time.
Different types of windows in a model of a house
3ds Max offers six kinds of windows:
•The
Casement w indow (page 1–252) has one
or two door-like sashes that swing inward or
outward.
•The
Pivoted window (page 1–254) pivots
at the center of its sash, either vertically or
horizontally.
•The
Projected window (page 1–255) has three
sashes, two of which open like awnings in
opposite directions.
•The
Sliding window (page 1–256) has two
sashes, one of which slides either vertically or
horizontally.
•The
Fixed window (page 1–253) doesn’t open.
•The
Awning w indow (page 1–251) has a sash
that is hinged at the top.
