Types of L-type stair: open, closed, and boxed
L-type stairs have two flights at right angles, and a landing.
Procedure
To create L-Type stairs:
1.
In any viewport, drag to set the length for the
firstflight. Releasethemousebutton,then
move the cursor and click to set the length,
w idth, and direction for the second flight.
2. Movethecursorupordowntodefinetherise
of the stairs, then click to end.
3. Adjust the stairs by using the options in the
Parameters rollout.

Parameters rollout > Type group
Open—Creates an open riser stair, as shown on the
left in the illustration above.
Clo sed —Creates a closed r iser stair, as show n in
the center in the illustration above.
Box—Creates a stair with closed risers and closed
str ingers on both sides, as shown on the right in
the illustration above.
Generate Geometry group
Stringers—Createsstringersalongtheendsof
the treads of the stairs. To modify the stringers’
depth, width, offset and spring f rom the floor, see

under the treads which supports the steps or add s
