Trim Curv e—
When on, the p arent curve is t rimmed
against the curve-cur ve point. When off (the
default), the parent isn’t trimmed.
Flip Trim—When on, trims in the opposite
direction.
Seed 1 a nd S eed 2 —Change the U location of the
seed va lue on the first and second curves. If there is
a choice of intersections, the intersection closest to
the seed points is the one used to create the point.

Curve—
(Only at modification time.) Let you
replace the parent curves. Click a button, then
click the curve to replace the original first or
second curve.

Create Surface-Curve Point button
This command creates a dependent point at the
intersection of a surface and a curve.
Procedure
To crea te a d ependent surf a ce-cur v e point:
1.
In a NURBS object that has a curve that passes
through a surface, click to turn on Create
Surface Curve Point in the NURBS toolbox or
Surf-CurveontheCreatePointsrollout.
2. Click the curve, then click the sur face.
The point is created at the nearest intersection
between the curve and the surface that is nearest
the seed point. You can use the surface-curve
parameters to trim the parent curve.
Interf ace
While a surface-curve intersection point
sub-object is selected, a rollout with its parameters
appears.
Trim Curve group
Trim—When on, trims the curve from the surface.
When off, the curve isn’t t rimmed.
Flip Trim—When on, trims the curve in the
opposite direction.
Seed—Changes the U loc ation of the seed value
on the curve. If there is a choice of intersections,
the intersection closest to the seed point is the one
used to create the p oint.
Replace Curve and Replace Sur face— (Only at
modification time.) Let you replace the parent
sub-objects. Cl ick a button, then click a curve or
surfacetoreplacetheoriginalparentobject.
