Tangentโ€”
Moves the point along the tangent of the
UV position.
U Tangent and V Tangentโ€”Specify the distance
from the surface along the tangents at U and V.
Replace Base Surfaceโ€”(Only at modification
time.) Lets you replace the parent surface. Click
the button, then click t he new surface on which to
base the sur face point.

Create Curve-Curve Point button
This command creates a dependent point at the
intersection of two curves.
Procedure
To crea te a dependent curv e-cu r ve point :
1.
Turn on Curve-Curve, then drag from the first
cur ve to the second.
If the curves do not intersect, the point is
orange, an in valid dependent point.
The point is created at the nearest intersection
between the two curves. You can use t he
cur ve-curve parameters to trim the parent
cur ves.
2. Right-click to end the create operation.

While a curve-curve point sub-object is selected,
the Curve-Curve Inte rsection rollout appears.
TrimFirstCurveandTrimSecondCurvegroups
These two groups let you control how the parent
curves are t rimmed. T he controls are the same
in each. "First" and "second" refer to the order in
which you picked the parent cur ves.
