Rename—
Lets you rename the selected set or
object.
Tip: You can rename objects or sets by pressing F2
on your keyboard.
Cut —Removes the selected object or set and stores
it in a buffer for reuse with the Paste command,
similar to the Cut command in Windows.
Tip: You can cut an object or set by pressing
CTRL+X on your keyboard.
Co py—Copies the selected object or set and stores
it in a buffer for reuse with the Paste command,
similar to the Copy command in Windows.
Tip: You can copy an object or set by pressing
CTRL+C on your keyboard.
Pas te—Adds a Cut or Copied object or set into
another set.
Tip: You can p aste an object or set by pressing
CTRL+V on your keyboard.
Collapse All—Collapses all expanded selection sets.
Expand All—Expands all collapsed s election sets.
Create N ew S et—Creates a new selection set,
including any currently selected objects as
members.
Remove—Remove s the selec ted object or selec tion
set.
Add Sel ected Obj ects—Adds currently selected
objects to the selec ted named select ion set.
Su b t r a ct S e l ect ed Object s —Removes currently
selected objects from the selected named selection
set.
S el ect O bj e ct s i n S et —Selects all members of the
current named selection.
S el ect Ob j ect s by Name—Opens the
Select Objects
dialog (page 1–78)
, a nd adds al l objects selected
there to the current named selection set.
Highlight S elected Objects—Highlights all of the
named selection sets that contain the current scene
selection.
Fin d Next—Toggles through select ion sets
containing the selected object, w hen used in
collaboration with the Highlight Selected Objects
command.
Tip: Yo u c a n u s e CTR L +G to toggle through the
sets.

only with existing named sub-object selections;

Procedure
To edi t na me d sub -obj ect s el ect ion s :
1.
At a sub-object level, create one or more
named
selection sets (page 1–85)
.
2. Click the toolbar Named Selection Sets
button or choose Edit > Edit Named Selections.
The Edit Named Selections dialog opens,
listing a ll named selection sets for the current
sub-object level.
3. Use the dia log cont rols to edit the named
selection sets.
