Prompts Dia log

The Prompts dia log lets you specify w hat happens
when you perform a number of different functions
via the Asset Tracking dialog (page 3–487).For
eachmessage,youcanchooseanactionandtoggle
the prompt using a right-click menu. If you tu rn
off the prompt, the option you set on the top part
of the menu takes place automatically.
Procedure
To set prompts for asset tracking:
1.
From the Asset Tr acking dia log > Options
menu, choose Prompts.
2. Right-click the message to set prompts for.
The right-click menu shows check marks next
to the ac tive setti ngs. For each message, you
have two options:
Yes/No or Ok/Cancel
•Prompt/NoPrompt
3. Change the options to suit your preferences.
For example, if you know that you always want
to keep files checked out that you add to the
vault, set the option “When adding files, keep
files checked out?” to Yes and No Prompt.
The changed settings are saved with the
program.
Asset Tracking Dialog Icons
The Asset Tracking dialog (page 3–487) uses a
number of icons to indicate the status of assets
listed in the dialog window. The following table
lists these icons and describes their fu nc tions:
Icon
Meaning
If no icon is displayed, the file is under version
control, but you do not have a local copy of the
file on your computer.
File is under version control and available to be
checkedout.Theversioninyourworkingfolder
is the same as in the provider. Also referred to
as the Latest Version.
File is under version control and available to be
checked out, but the local version is newer than
the latest version. This typically means that
your local file was changed without checking
it out.
File is under version control and available to be
checked out, but the local co py is out of date.
File is ch ecked out to you and the local ve r si o n
is the latest.
File is c h ecked out to you and the loc al copy
is newer than the latest version. This typically
means that you made changes to the file since
it was checked out but have not checked it
back in.
File is chec ked o ut by someone else, and the
local copy is the same as on the provider. Also
referred to as the Latest Version.
File is checked out to someone else, but the
local copy is newer than the latest version.
File is checked out to someone else, but the
local copy is older than the latest ver sion.
File is checked out by someo n e else in a se tup
where the work ing folder is shared and the
local copy is the same as on the provider.
