Note:
This button replaces the Arc Rotate button
whenaCameraviewportisactive.
You can constrain the rotation to a single axis by
first pressing SHIFT before beginning the rotation.
Therotationisconstrainedtotheaxisyoubegin
rotating about.
To accelerate panning, hold down the CTRL key
before you pan.
Pr ocedur es
To pan a camera:
1.
ActivateaCameraviewport.
2. Click Pan Camera.
The button highlights when it is on.
3. Drag to rotate the view about the camera.
• Dragging rotates the view freely using the
worldXandYaxes.
• Press SHIFT and drag horizontally to lock
view rotation about the world Y axis. This
produces a horizontal pan.
• Press SHIFT and drag vertically to lock
rotation about the world X axis. This
produces a vertical pan.
4. Press ESC or right-click to t urn off the button.
Topanwiththemiddlemousebutton:
• Hold down the middle mouse button and drag.
Pan mode is automatically switched on.
To orbit a camera:
1.
ActivateaCameraviewport.
2. Click Orbit Camera.
3. Drag to rotate the view around the target.
• Dragging rotates the view freely using the
worldXandYaxes.
• Press SHIFT and drag horizontally to lock
view rotation about the world Y axis. This
produces a horizontal orbit.
•PressSHIFTanddragverticallytolock
rotation about the world X axis. This
produces a vert ical orbit.
4. Press ESC or rig ht-click to turn off the button.

Orbit Camera—Rotates a target camera about its

Pan Camera—Rotates the target about a target
camera. For a f ree camera, rotates the camera
about its local axes.
Li ght Viewport Contr ols
Right-click any viewport label. > Views > Choose a light.
Keyboard > $
A Light view port shows the v iew from a spotlight
or directional light, looking at its target.
