To zoom all views:
1.
Activate a Perspective or Orthographic
viewport.
2. Click Zoom A ll.
The button highlights when it is on.
3. Drag in a viewport to change magnification in
all v iewports.
Drag up to increase magnification.
•Dragdowntodecreasemagnification.
4. Press ESC or right-click to t urn off the button.
To zoom all viewpor ts except the Perspective
viewport:
1.
Hold down the SHIFT key and click Zoom All.
2. Drag in a viewport to zoom a ll the viewports
except the Perspective.
Note: You can drag in a Perspective v iewport,
but you only see the zoom in Orthographic
viewports.

The Zoom Extents flyout displays the Zoom
Extents button and the Zoom Extents Selected
button.
Zoom Extents centers all visible objects in an
active Perspective or Orthographic viewport. This
controlisusefulwhenyouwanttoseeeveryobject
inasceneinasingleviewport.
Zoom Extent s Selected centers a selected
object, or set of objects, in an active Perspective
and Orthog raphic v iewport. This control is u seful
whenyouwanttonavigatetosmallobjectslostin
acomplexscene.
Procedures
To zoom a ll obj ects in one viewport:
1.
Ac t ivate the Perspective or Orthographic
view por t you want to zoom.
2. Click Z oom Extents.
The v iewport displays all objects in the scene.
To zoom on a specifi c obj ect:
1.
Ac t ivate the Perspective or Orthographic
view por t you want to zoom.
2. Select the object by clicking it, or press H to
select it by name.
3. Click Zoom Extents Selected.
The viewport displays the selected object.
To ex clude a n object fr om Zoom Extents:
Use this procedure, for example, to ignore lights
that are f ar away from the other objects in the
scene.
1. Click an object to select it.
2. Right-click the object and cho ose Properties.
3. In the Display Properties group, make sure
properties are set to By Object.
4. Tu r n on Ig nore E x tent s.
The object will now be excluded by Zo om
Extents and Zoom Extents Selected.
