Inter face
Ma croRecorder L ine—The pink, upper line displays
the last thing recorded by the MacroRecorder. If
the MacroRecorder is not enabled, nothing will
appear in this line.
Scripter Line—The white, lower line displays the
last entry typ ed into the Scripter window. You
cantypedirectlyintothislineandexecutethe
commands in the viewports
Histor y L ist—Right-clicking either of the Mini
Listener lines displays a history of the last twenty
commands recorded by the Macro Recorder
(provided it has been enabled). Click any of these
commands to execute them in the viewports.
Open Li stener Wi ndow—Right-clicking either of
the Mini Listener lines displays a d ia log that allows
you to open the MAXScript Listener window. You
canalsoopentheListenerusingtheUtilitiespanel
> MAXScript rollout. You can display the Listener
w indow in a viewport by right-clicking the
viewport label, then choosing Views > Extended
>MAXScriptListener.
Status Line
Status bar > Status line
Thestatuslinedisplaysthenumberandtypeof
object or objects selected. The status line is located
at the bottom of the screen, just above the
prompt
line (page 3–746)
.
If multiple objects are selected and all are of the
same type, the number and type of the objects
are displayed: "2 cameras, 3 lights" for example.
Ifmultipleobjectsofdifferenttypesareselected,
the status line displays the number plus the word
"objects": "6 objects" for example.

. Right-clicking the slider bar opens

,whichletsyou
create position, rotation, or scale keys without
using the Auto Key button.
When you are in
Auto Key (p age 3–760)
mode, you
can right-click and drag the time slider to create
a key t hat has the source at the initi al time slider
position, and the destination at the subsequent
time slider position.
In
Set Key mode (page 3–761)
,holdingdownthe
right mouse button and dragging the time slider
allows you to move a pose in time without losing
it in the viewport.
To move one frame back or forward, click the
arrow on the left or right side of the time slider,
respectively. Or simply place your cursor anywhere
on the time line, click and the time slider wil l
jump to your cursor position. In
Key Mode (page
3–767)
, click ing an arrow jumps to the adjacent
key.
The Track View Key window dis plays a time slider
as well. The movement of the two time slider is
sy nchronized. Moving the time slider in the Track
Viewwindowwillmovethetimesliderbelowthe
viewports, and visa versa.
