On the Layers toolbar, click Add
Selected Objects to Current L ayer.
To change a la yer’ s pr oper t ies:
1.
Click Layers toolbar > Layer List to display the
list.
2. Click the lay er property icon that you want to
set.
You can change the follow ing properties from
the layer list: h ide/unhide, freeze/unfreeze,
renderable/non-renderable, and color.
3. Click the Layer List again to collapse it.

the layer list: hide/unhide, freeze/unfreeze,
renderable/non-renderable, and color.

on the Layer List are unique.

Layers toolbar > Create New Layer
Layers toolbar > Layer Manager > Create New Layer
Create New Layer creates a new layer the layer
containing the currently selected objects. The
new layer’s name is automatically generated
(“Layer01”, “Layer02”, etc.) but may b e changed
in the
Layer Manager (page 3–706) .
Add S election to Cur rent La yer
Layers toolbar > Add Selection to Current Layer
Add Selection to Current Layer moves the current
object selection to the current layer.
Select Objects in Current Layer
Layers toolbar > Select Objects in Current Layer
Select Objects in Current L ayer selects all of the
objects contained in the current layer.

Layers toolbar > Set Current Layer to Selection’s Layer
Set Current Layer to Selec tion’s Layer changes
the current layer to the layer which contains the
cur rently selected objects.
Note: This button is not available if your selection
includes objects that reside on different layers.
