TheInlinehelperletsyoureferenceanother
VRML97 file that is included in your world when
you load it into your VRML97 browser . These
inline objects are like instance objects, but they
function at the browser level.
Procedure
To crea te an I nli ne helper object:
1.
Click the Inline button.
2. Click and drag in one of the viewports.

If you create the object s in the scene to be inser ted
off-center (away from the origin), they will appear
in the browser off-center as well. Align the original
scene and the scene to be inserted correctly, in
relation to the origin.
TheVRMLInlinerolloutcontainsthefollowing
options:
Insert URL—Specifies the UR L of the
.w rl
files to
insert in place of the helper object. The URL must
be another VRML97 file.
B ook ma r k s—Displays a dia log that lets you select
a location f rom a list of bo okmarks. Click Import
List to import the list of bookmarks defined in
your browser. Most browsers store bookmarks in a
file called
bookmark.htm
.
Bounding Box—Specifies whether an explicit
bounding box size will be exported. If you select
“U se Icon Size, the diameter of the icon will
be written into the VRML97 file for the width,
length, and height of the bounding box; the actual
contentsoftheinlinefileshouldfitwithinthat
bounding box. If you select “Calculate in Browser,
no bounding box size is exported and the VRML
browserwilldeterminethesizeoftheinline
geometry.
Icon Size—Sets the size of the helper object. You
can transform this object like any other object in
the sof tware. The scene that replaces the helper
object wi ll b e moved, rotated, or scaled in the same
manner. The size show n is the radius of the icon.
