you were using previously.
Delete Files—Removes all thumbnail files from
your cache directory.
Maximum Disk Space—Sets the maximum size of
the cache directory. When you exit Asset Browser ,
the program selec ts the size of the cache directory.
If it’s over the maximum size, the program deletes
the oldest thumbnail files un til the total size is 50
percent of the Maximum Disk Space setting.
Drag and Drop group
Provides controls for importing or linking files
after dragging and dropping them into a viewport.
Show the merge/import/XR EF dialog—Displays the
merge/impor t/XREF dialog after you drop a file
into a viewp ort.
Always merge/import the file—Imports the file
without prompting for confirmation after you
drop it into a viewport.
Always XREF the file—Links t he file as an XREF
without prompting for confirmation after you
drop it into a viewport.
Ask me each t ime—Displays a popup menu to
confirm importing or linking after you drop a file
into a viewp ort.

When you drag geometry files from the World
Wide Web using the Asset Browser, the Internet
Download dialog appears. How long this dialog
remains on-screen depends on the size of the file
you’re downloading.

Download Information group
Displays t he URL of the download, the pathname
of the file being saved, and a meter indicating the
bytes downloaded.
Unifor m R esource Locator (UR L)—Displays the URL
and file name that you’re downloading.
Saved as Local File—Displays the pathname of the
file being saved as a result of the dow n load.
Options group
Specifies whether or not to place the objects when
the download is complete. If you leave this option
selected, 3ds Max allows you to position the mouse
at the location of your choice.
