Outpu t Pa t h—Displays the current output path.
This can be changed using the Browse button.
BrowseClick to display a Windows file dialog
that lets you choose the output path.
Resource Options group
Collect B itmaps/Photometric Files—When on, the
Resource Collector places the scene’s bitmaps,
and photometric files, in the output directory.
Default=on.
Include MAX File—When on, the Resource
Collector places the scene itself (the .
max
file) in
the output directory. Default=off.
Compress Files—When on, compresses the files
into a ZIP file, saved in the output directory.
Default=off.
Co py or MoveChooseCopytomakeacopyofthe
files in the output directory. Choose Mov e to move
the files (they are deleted from the directory in
whichtheyoriginallyweresaved).Default=Copy.
Update Ma ter ia ls—When on, updates material
paths. Default=off.

The Fix Ambient utility solves a compatibility
problem that sometimes occurs when you use
3dsMaxtoopenfilesfromearlierversionsof
3ds Max or Autodesk VIZ.
In 3ds Max, the
ambient (page 3–1002)
and
diffuse (page 3–1023)
color channels are locked
for standard materials. However, this was not
always the case with earlier versions of 3ds Max
