The Prompts dialog lets you specify w hat happens
when you perform a number of different functions
via the
Asset Tracking dialog (page 3–492)
.For
eachmessage,youcanchooseanactionandtoggle
the prompt using a right-click menu. If you turn
off the prom pt, the option you set on the top part
of the menu takes place automatically.
Procedure
To set prompts for a sset track ing:
1.
From the Asset Tracking dialog > Options
menu, choose Prompts.
2. Right-click the message to set prompts for.
The right-click menu shows check marks next
to the active settings. For each message, you
have two options:
•Yes/NoorOk/Cancel
•Prompt/NoPrompt
3. Change the options to suit your preferences.
For example, if you know that you always want
to keep files checked out t hat you add to the
vault, set the option “When adding files, keep
files checked out?” to Yes and No Prompt.
The changed settings are saved with the
program.
Asset Tr acking Dialog Icons
The
Asset Tracking dialog (page 3–492)
uses a
number of icons to indicate the status of assets
listed in the dialog w indow. The follow ing table
lists these icons and describes their fu nc tions:

If no icon is displayed, the file is under versio n
control, but you do not have a local copy of the
file on your computer.
File is under version control and available to be
checkedout.Theversioninyourworkingfolder
is the same as in the provider. Also referred to
as the Latest Version.
File is under version control and available to be
checked out, but the local version is newer than
the latest version. This t ypi cally means that
your local file was changed without checking
it ou t.
File is under version control and available to be
checked out, but the local copy is out of date.
