Export
File menu > Expor t
Export converts and exports 3ds Max scenes in
various formats. See the following procedure for a
complete list of file types y ou can export.

Procedure
To expor t a file:
1.
Choose File menu > Export.
2. Choose an export file t ype from the Files Of
Typelistinthefileselectordialog.

Export Selected exports selected geometry as 3D
Studio Mesh (3DS), Adobe Illustrator (AI), ASCII
Scene Export (ASE), 3D Design Web Format
(DWF) or AutoCAD Drawing Interchange Format
(DXF)files. 3dsMaxalsosupportsexportto
Shockwave 3D (W3D) format.

When you choose Export Selected, a file dialog
appears, from which you can choose a type of
formatfromtheSaveastypelist.
Procedure
To export selected objects to a file:

Selectoneormoreobjects.
2. Cho ose File menu > Export Selected.
3. EnteranameintheFileNamefield.
4. FromtheSaveAsTypedrop-downlist,choose
afileformat.
