Specifically, in the above example, you’ll find the
following hierarchy in the Curve Editor:

Blend—Sets the amount of blending that occurs.
Add Pseudo Alpha Filter
Rendering menu > Vid eo Post > Video Post toolbar > Add
Image Filter Event > Choose Pseudo Alpha Filter from the
Filter Plug-In list.
The Pseudo Alpha Filter creates an alpha channel
for the image based on the image’s first pixel (the
upper-left corner pixel). All pixels that hav e the
samecolorasthispixelbecometransparent.
Because only one pixel color becomes clear, edges
oftheopaqueareasarealiased.Themainusefor
this filter is when you want to composite a bitmap
whose format does not have an alpha channel.

There are no Setup options for this filter.
Add Simple Wipe Filter
Rendering menu > Video Post > Video Post toolbar > Add
ImageFilterEvent>ChooseSimpleWipeFilterfromthe
Filter Plug-In list.
Wipe reveals an ima ge by wiping from one side to the other,
over time.
TheSimpleWipeFilterrevealsorerasesthe
foreground image w ith a wipe transition. Unlike
the
Wipe Layer (page 3–331)
event, Wipe Filter
wipesacrossafixedimage.
Wipes from image to image (or image to black).
The filtered image stays in place, but is revealed or
erased with a wipe across the image. If you’re usi ng
a Wipe as a Filter event, you’ll usually wa nt to use
anAlphaCompositorasaLayereventaswell.
