Co ntrast—Set the spinner between 0 and 1.0.
This compresses or exp ands the latitude between
maximum black and maximum white by creating a
16-bit look-up table for any given gray value in the
image. The computation of the gray value depends
on whether you select Absolute or Derived.
B rightness—Set the spinner between 0 and 1.0.
This increases or decreases all color components
(red, green, and blue).
Absolute/Derived—Determines the computat ion
of the gray value for Contrast. Absolute uses the
highest value of an y of the color components.
Derived uses an average of the three color
components.

Select a Fade Filter. > Video Post toolbar > Edit Current
Event > Setup
The Fade Filter fades an image in or out over time.
The rate of the fade is determined by the length of
theFadefilter’stimerange.

You can set the following controls in the Setup
Options:
In—Fade in.
Out—Fade out.

Event
The Image Alpha Filter replaces the image’s alpha
channel with the channel specified by the filter
mask.
The filter takes w hatever channel is selected in the
channel options under Mask (including
g-buffer
(page 3–1040)
channel data) and applies it to the
queue’s alpha channel, thereby replacing what’ s
there.
If you don’t choose a m ask, this filter has no effect.
There are no Setup options for this filter.
Procedure
To set an object’s G-Buffer ID:
1.
Select the object.
2. Right-click the object and then choose
Properties (page 1–111)
from the popup menu.
3. IntheObjectPropertiesdialog,setG-Buffer
Object Channel to a non-zero value, and then
click OK.
