File Output Rendering Effect
Rendering menu > Effects > Environment and Effects
dialog > E ffec ts panel > Add > Add Effect dialog > File
Output
File Output allows you to take a “snapshot” of a
rendering before some or all of the other Render
Effects are applied, depending on the placement
of File Output in the Render Effects st ack. You
can save different channels such as Luminance,
Depth, or Alpha to a separate file while rendering
an animation.
You can also use File Output to convert an RGB
image into a different channel and send that image
channel back into the Render Effects stack. The
rest of the effects can then be applied to that
channel.
