Edit Obje ct List dialog
TheEditObjectListdialogletsyouselectthe
objectstoincludeinadynamicssimulation.
Highlig ht objects from the Objects in the Scene
list on the left, and then click the > button to place
them in the Objects in the Simulation list on the
right side of the dialog.
The Exclude and Include option buttons abo v e the
right window determine whether the items listed
are excluded from or included in the simulation.
Note: All the selection and inclusion dialogs in
the Dynamics Utility are displayed and function
similarly.

Objects i n the Scene—To a dd s cen e o bjec t s to t h e
simulation (assuming Include is chosen), select
objects from the list on the left, then use the >
button to move them to the list on the right.
Search Field—TheeditboxabovetheSceneObjects
list lets you search for object names by entering
names t hat use wildcards. For example, searching
for"sphere*"findsallobjectswhosenamesstart
with "sphere".
Objects in the S imula tion—To exc lu d e o bjects f rom
the simulation (assuming Include is chosen), select
objects from the list on the right, then u se the <
button to move them to the list on the left .
E xclude/Incl ud e—Choose whether the simulation
w ill exclude or include the objects named in the list
on the right. If you choose Excl ude, only objects in
the list on the left are included in the simulation.
All/None/Invert—Affec t the list on the left. All
selects all objects, None deselects all objects, and
Invert selects unselected objects and deselects
selected objects.
Displ ay S ubtr ee—Tur n on to indent the list
according to the object hierarchy.
Case Sensitive—Turn on to use c as e sens it iv ity
when searching for object names.
Sel ect Subt ree—Selects a ll objects in a hierarchy at
the level you click and below.
Selection Sets—D isplays a list of named selec tion
sets. Choosing a selec tion set f rom this list selec ts
those objects in the Scene Objects list.
Cle ar —Clears all entries from the Exclude/Include
list on the right.
Sk in Utilities
Utilities panel > More button > SkinUtilities
Skin U tilities provide a method fo r copying
skin data (envelopes and vertex weights) from
one model to another. Skin Utilities work by
embedding the skin data in a copy of the s ource
mesh, then using the object copy to map the data
onto the target mesh.
