Working with Clips in the Mixer 611
To impor t clips from a motion flow script:
Motion flow scripts c an be imported to a track
in the Mixer. Both clips and transitions from the
script are imported to the track.
Before you can import motion flo w to a track, the
bipedmusthaveatleastonemotionflowscript
assigned to it in Motion Flow mode. S ee Creating
a Motion Flow Script (page 2–1030).
1. Highlight a blank area of the track into which
you want to bring the Motion Flow clips and
transitions. You can choose either a transition
or layer track.
2. From the Motion Mixer menu, choose Tracks >
Import Motion Flow. You can also right-click
the track and choose Motion Flow from the
pop-up menu.
3. Choose a script from which to import mot ion.
The clips and transitions from the script are
imported to the Mixer and displayed the track.
Ifthetrackwasalayertrack,itisconvertedtoa
transition track to accommodate the transitions
imported from the script.
To see t he motions in the M otion M ix er on the biped
in the scene:
1.
Select the biped for w hich you want to see the
current motion f rom the Motion Mixer.
2. Click Mixer Mode on the Biped rollout.
3. Playtheanimationordragthetimeslidertosee
the motion in viewports.
Work ing with Clips in the M ixer
Once you have created tr acks and imported
clips to the Motion Mixer, you can adjust your
animation mix by moving, cloning, and replacing
clips. Within the Motion Mixer, you can:
• Move clips in time w ithin the same track.
•Moveclipstoothertracks.
•Cloneclips.
• Slide all clips in time on a tr ack.
•Replaceaclipwithmotionfromabiped,a
motion flow script, or a nother clip.
To move a clip in time within a tra ck :
1.
Click Move Clips on the Motion Mixer
toolbar .
2. Drag the clip and move it to another location
on the track.
A clip cannot be moved in such a way that it
overlaps another clip. If you move a clip on
top of another cl ip, it will return to its original
location when you release the mouse.
Procedures
To move all clips horizontally on one track:
1.
Select one or more clips. You can select multiple
clips on different tracks for this operation.
2. Click Slide Clips on the Motion Mixer
toolbar .
3. Move the selected clips to slide clips to the left
or right.
When you slide a selected clip to the right, al l
unselected clips to the right of the clip move to
the r ight. When you slide a clip to the left, all
unselected clips to the left move to the left.
To move a clip to another tr ack :
1.
Click Slide Clips on the Motion Mixer
toolbar .
2. Move one clip on a track to slide all clips on
the track.
