Use the A udio controller to drive the animation of
almost any parameter in the software. The Audio
controller converts the amplitude of a recorded
sound file or real-ti me sound wave into values that
can animate an object or parameter.
With the Audio controller, you have full control
over s ound channel selection, base threshold,
oversampling, and parameter range.
The Audio controller works w ith most parameters
in Track View, including:
•Transforms
•Floatvalues
•Point3values(color)
Audio controller assigned to the scale track of this object
Procedure
To a nimate the Z axis scale of a box using a sound file:
1.
Create a box.
2. In the Tr ack View hierarchy, select the Scale
track.
3. On the Track View menu, click C ontroller >
Assign, and choose the AudioScale controller.
The Audio Controller dialog appears.
4. Select Choose Sound, and select a .wav file.
5. IntheBaseScalegroup,settheZfieldto0.
6. IntheTargetScalegroup,settheZfieldto600.
7. Close the Audio Controller dialog and play the
animation.

Objects > Morph
The Barycentric (page 3–914) Morph controller
is automatically applied when a mor ph object
is created in Create > Geometry > Compound
Objects > Morph. Morph targets are selected and
keys are created at different t imes to mor ph the
original object in to the shape of the Morph Targets.
Note: The Morpher modifier provides an
alternativetotheMorphcontrollertomorph
objects.
