1724 Chapter 16: Material Editor, Materials, and Maps
List of shaders—
Showsthenamesoftheshaders
in the list. Highlight a shader’s name to alter its
position in the list, or to access its par ameters.
Each active shader in the list is called in order,
from top to bottom.
Up—Moves the selected shader up in the list.
Down—Moves the selec ted shader down in the list.
Add Sha der —Displays a Material/Map Browser
(page 2–1412) so you ca n choose a shader to add
to the list.
Remove Selected—Removes the selected shader
from the list.
Selection group
On—When on, the shader is active. When off, the
shader is inactive and isn’t called. You can use
this toggle to disable a shader without removing
it from the list entirely.
Shader button—Shows the name of the currently
selected shader. Click the button to view that
shader’s parameters in the Material Editor.
When you are done adjust ing an individual
shader’s parameters, you can click Go To Parent to
return to the Shader List Parameters rollout.

Note: Shaders appear in the Browser only if the mental
ray renderer is the currently active renderer.
The UV Generator shader returns 2D mapping
coordinates. You can use its sett ings to adjust a 2D
map. The parameters for this shader are equivalent
to parameters on the Coor dinates rollout for 2D
maps (page 2–1625).
