Actions
The Particle Flow components for creating particle
systems are known collectively as actions.These
are subdivided into three main categories:
• Operators (page 2–142)
• Flows (page 2–208)
• Tests (page 2–210)
Action Ti me Fra mes
Most actions in Part icle Flow operate on par t icles
in either of two time frames: once, when the
particle first enters the event, or on a con tinuous
basis, potentially changing particle behavior at
each integra tion step. Some actions can work only
in one time frame, while others can work on an
instantaneous or con tinuous basis, depending on
their settings. The t ables below list each ac tion
with its time fr ame.
