Crowd sim ulations can use dozens of motion clips
so automatic creat ion of optimized transitions
canbeabigtimesaver. Whetheryouplanon
animat ing one or many bipeds using Motion Flow
mode you’l l need transitions between the clips in
the Motion F low Graph.
Pr ocedur es
To create tr ansitions using From > To or To < From
method:
1.
On the Motion Flow rollout, click the
Show Graph button to o
pen the Motion Flow
Graph.
2. On the Motion Flow Graph toolbar, click
Create Multiple Clips.
The O pen d ia log appears. Use it to choose the
location of your .b
ip files.
3. While holding down t
he
Ct rl key , choose
multiple clips in the Open dialog.
Once processed, multiple clips appear in
Motion Flow Graph (page 2–1045).
4. Turn on either Create Transition
From -> To or Crea te Transition To <- From on
the Motion Flow Gr
aph toolbar and then drag
from one clip to another clip.
The top set of clips are linked using Create Transition
From->To. The bottom set of clips are linked using Create
Transition To<-From.
To create tr ansitions using Create All Transitions:
1.
On the Motion Flow rollout, click the
ShowGraphbuttontoopentheMotionFlow
Graph.
2. On the Motion Flow Graph toolbar, click
Create Multiple Clips
The Open dialog appears. Use it to choose t he
location of your .bip fi les.
3. While holding down the Ct rl key, choose
multiple clips in the Open dialog.
Once processed, multiple clips appear in the
Motion Flow Graph dialog.
4. Click Select Clip/Transition and select all
the clips you added.
5. To create transitions between a l l the clips,
turn on Create All Transitions on the Motion
Flow Graph toolbar.
6. At the Biped dialog, click Yes to create
transitions f rom each selected clip to itself.
