The Select panel of the Animation Workbench
providestoolsforselectingbipedsorbiped
componen ts. The selected biped part’s animation
tracks can be manipulated using c urves displayed
intheWorkbench,orbyusingtheAnalyze,Fix,
and Filter panels to automatically identify errors
and fix them .
Theobjectswhosecurvesmightbedisplayedare
set using the select ion drop-down list. To change
thecurvesthataredisplayedgointotheController
window and select the curves you want to see
Once the selection has b een m ade,
youcanhidetheentireTabareabyclickingtheTab
button on the Workbench toolbar. This will give
you more room to work on the curves in Curve
View .
The functionality of the Select tab is similar to the
standard 3ds Max Select Objects dialog (page 1–78).

Pr ocedur es
To displ ay a biped body part cur ve in the Workbench,
do one of the following:
• On the Select panel, m ake sure Select From
Scene is turned on, then in a viewport, click
any biped object.
The object’s curve is displayed in the
Workbench Curve window.
•OntheSelectpaneloftheAnimation
workbench, click to hig hlight the name of the
bodypartinthescrollableSelectionlist.
• OntheWorkbenchtoolbar,turnonControllers.
In the hierarchy list, hig h lig ht the b ody par t
track whose curve you want to see.
To hi de or unhide the Tab pa nel:
1.
ClicktheTabbuttonontheWorkbenchtoolbar.
The Tab panel disappears from view.
2. Click the Tab button again.
The Tab panel returns to view.
