Footsteps 0 and 1 share a double-support period of 20 frames.

the whole biped is a irborne; that is, the frames in
which neither of the feet have any cont a ct with the

The no-support period between frames 3 and 4 and 4 and 5
is 12 frames.
Foot Ai r Dura tion—Displays the number of frames
that each foot has no contact w ith the ground.
The foot air duration for the left footstep track between frames
3and5is31frames.

Select Start of Footstep—Selects the leftmost
key for the current footstep selection.

In this Track V iew - D o pe Sheet view of a walking motion,
footsteps are represented by colored squares, footstep numbers
appear in boldface inside the squares, in bet ween the start and
end frames of the footstep. The numbers bet ween the colored
boxes represent foot-air duration.

freeform periods. Biped keys display as dots on
the tracks. Footsteps display as squares that can
bemovedintime.Bipeddynamicsandfootsteps
work together; if footsteps are moved in time,
Biped adapts leg keys an d vertical positions to
account for the editing. There are a couple of
restrictions: you can’t overlap footsteps on the
same track, or move footsteps into negative time.
TheCurveEditorcanbeusedtomakeadjustments
tobipedkeyframeanimation.TheCurveEditor
is a Track View mode that allows you to work with
motion expressed as function curves on a graph. It
lets you visualize the interpolation of the mot ion,
the object transformations that the software
creates between the keyf r ames. You can see and
control the motion and animation of the objects in
the scene using the keys found on the curves. You
canevendrawcurvesdirectlyonthegraph.
