4. Choose a
.mfe
file from the folder where your
Motion Flow Editor files are stored.
The clips and transitions appear in the Motion
Flow Graph. Each transition displays its
“weighting va lue, 100 by default.
5. Click Select Clip/Transition and
right-click a transition that you want to adjust.
The Transt ion Editor dialog is displayed.
6. Adjust the Probability setting to give the
transition a higher or lower probability of b eing
randomly chosen for the motion flow scr ipt.
Note: The Probability range is 0 to 100.
7. On the Motion Flow Graph toolbar, click
Select Random Start Clips.
8. Select the clip you want used as the start clip.
The clip turns pur ple and is assigned a
weighting of 100. The selected clip wil l be used
first by any biped using the random motion
script.
9. In the Scripts section on the Motion Flow
rollout, click Create Random Motion.
10. On the Crea te Random Motion dialog, set a
value for Minimum Animation Length.
This should be long enough to include the clips
you want in the animation.
11. Click Create.

12. Click Play Animation or scrub the time
slider to view the transition.
Unif y ing Motion
TheCreateUnifiedMotioncommandallows
you to create one motion from a script. The
entire unified motion is then available when you
exit Motion Flow mode. Create Unified Motion
converts a script into a freeform unified motion.
The created motion replaces animation present
whentheMotionFlowModebuttonisturnedoff.
This is useful if you want to make changes to the
biped like raising its arms or turning its head.
Procedure
Ex ample: To create a unif ied moti on:
1.
Create a biped.
2. On the Biped rollout, turn on Motion
Flow Mode.
3. On the Motion Flow rollout, click Show
Graph.
This displays the Motion Flow Graph.
4. On the M otion Flow rollout, click Load
File and choose
1flobees.mfe
from the Open
dialog.
5. Click Create Unified Motion.
6. On the Biped rollout, tu rn off Motion
Flow mode.
7. Open the Layers rollout and click Create
Layer.
