Space War ps and Par ticle Systems
Space warps and p article systems are additional
modelingtools.Spacewarpsare“forcefields”that
deform other objects, creating the effect of ripples,
waves, blowing wind, and so on. Particle systems
generate particle sub-objects for the purpose of
simulating snow, rain, dust, and so on. ( You use
particle systems primarily in animations.)

Space war ps are nonrenderable objects that affect
theappearanceofotherobjects. Spacewarps
create force fields that defor m other objects,
creating the effect of ripples, waves, blowing wind,
and so on.
Space warps behave somewhat like modifiers,
except that space w arps influence world space,
rather than object sp ace, as geometric mod ifiers
do.
When you create a space warp object, view ports
show a wireframe representation of it. You can
transform the space warp as you do other 3ds Max
objects. The p os ition, rotation, and scale of t he
space warp affect its operation.
