Inter face
Absolute Applies world space values to the keys.
Thenumbersyouenterarethenumbersthatare
applied.
RelativeIncrements the values relative to their
existing value. The numbers you enter are added
to the existing value.
Controller type—Displaysthenameofthe
controller about the X, Y, and Z fields.
X, Y, Z—Use these fields to input numbers for
relative or absolute value editing.
Edit T ime
Use the Edit Time tools to work directly with
selectedblocksoftimeintheDopeSheetEditor,
as opposed to working with keys and range bars.
A block of time is any contiguous time segment,
across one or more tracks, and is independent of
key locations.
EnterEditTimemodebyselectingatimesegment
intheDopeSheetEditor. Onceatimesegment
has been selected you can insert, cut, copy, paste,
or reverse the time s egm ent, including its keys.
ThetimetoolsareavailablefromtheTimemenu
and the Time: Dope Sheet toolbar . Time tools are
unavailable from the Time menu in Edit Ranges
mode.
In Edit Time mode, keys and range b ars of your
animation are there only for reference. You
select blocks of time and then apply time-editing
functions to your selection.

In Edit Time mode you can perform the following
tasks for one or more tracks:

Procedure
To edit time:
1.
Select the animated object in the viewport, then
right-click and choose Curve Editor.
This opens Track View navigated to the
animated object.
2. On the Modes menu choose Dope Sheet m ode.
The Key window changes from c urves to a key
spreadsheet.
3. If Edit Keys isn’t highlig hted on the Keys: D ope
Sheettoolbar,clickittoturniton.
ThenextstepswontworkifyouhaveEdit
Ranges on instead of Edit Keys.
4. From the Time menu, choose Select Time.
