create a selection set of tracks for which y ou
want to prevent animation. This can be for one
or m ultiple objects
Tip: Yo u c a n h o l d d o w n t h e S H I F T k e y t o s e l e c t
a group of sequential tracks at once. Alternately
you can hold down the ALT key to select all
tracks at the same level as a given track at once.
Note: If you select just a parent track such as
P osition, Controller > Keyable will toggle all of
its sub-tracks, even if they’re not selected.
2. From the Controller menu, choose Keyable.
The selected tracks are now defined as keyable.
3. FromtheDisplaymenu,chooseKeyableIcons.
The keyable icon appears next to the tracks.
Theiconappearsredforthetracksthatare
keyable, and black for the ones that are not.
Tip: Usethesameproceduretomakemultiple
tracks not keyable. The Controller > Keyable
command togg les the keyability of the tracks.
Note: If you have a mixed keyable situation it
wil l toggle the state of the first t rack and then
set all remaining tracks to match the value of
the first track
Hide/Show Non-Sel ected Cur ves

When Hide Non-Selected Curves is on (the
default), the curve will disappear when another
track is chosen.
When Show Non-Selected Curves is on, the
curve will still b e visible in the Key window when
another track is chosen.
IfyouturnonShowNon-SelectedCurves,then
youcanalsouseFreezeNon-SelectedCurves.This
allows you to see the other cur ve but not edit it
inadvertently.

The Controller menu gives you tools for working
with controllers that are assigned to objects or
tracks when in the Curve Editor or Dope Sheet.
Assign—Lets you select tracks and then assign a
controller to that selection. See

button on the toolbar to see whether a track is
