Replace Master—Lets you replace the current
master. Use the standard method to choose
another master as described in

Usethisfunctiontospecifyamasterwhenyou
open Reaction Manager by assigning a Reaction
controller to a slave.
Note: If you replace a master with multiple states,
Reaction Manager deletes all existing states except
the default one. In essence, replacing a m aster is
like starting over.

Add S elected—Lets you add selected objects as
slaves to the cur rent master. For details, see

Append Selected—Adds a slave to a state in which
the slave doesn’t currently part icipate. To use,
high light a slave in the React ions list, high light a
state in the States list, and then choose Append

Set State—Updates the highlighted state (master
track) to its cur rent value. For details, see

Delete S tate—Deletes any highlighted items in the
States list.
Edit Slave State Mode—Lets you change slaves
values in the current st ate. For details, see

Show in Track View—Opens Track View, displaying
reaction tracks for highlighted slaves and masters
only.
Show in S chematic View—Opens Schematic View,
with reaction tracks expanded for highlighted
slaves and masters.

The Position Reaction and Rotation
Reaction
controllers (page 2–342)
let you perform certain
functions via manipulators in the viewports.
Procedure
To us e manipula tor s for a position or rotati on
Reaction controller:
(Point3, scale, and flo at Reaction cont rollers don’t
have manipulators.)
1. SelecttheobjectthathastheReactioncontroller
assigned to it.
2. On the default Main toolbar, click Select
And Manipulate.
The manipulators appear in viewports.
3. Intheactiveviewport,dragorclick
manipulators to adjust the reaction parameters.
Whenyoumovethemouseoveramanipulator,
the m anipulator turns red to show that dragging
or clicking it will have an effect.
