Motion Captur e Controll ers
A Motion Capture controller controls parameters
in real time from the input of external devices.
Currently supported devices are mouse, keyboard,
MIDI device and joystick. Each device has spe cific
propert ies that must be set:

Explicit Axis K eys
The XYZ controllers assign an individual track
totheX,Y,andZcomponentsoftheposition,
rotation, or scale of an object. However , the
controllersalwaysassignthreekeys(oneforeach
axis), by default.
In previous versions of t he software, you had to
manually edit the keys in order to create explicit
axis keys. However, there are now actions available
from the
Customize User Interface dialog (page
3–836)
that let you create explicit keys with the
touch of a button.
When an explicit key is created on an axis, any
keys on the two remaining axes (at the selected
time) w ill be deleted.
An explicit axis key can only be assigned to objects
that already have an XYZ controller assigned to
their position, scale, or rotation tracks.
You can also use Keyable Icons to turn on or off

Note: These commands are not available in the
default user interface. You can use the Customize
User Interface dialog to assign a keyboard shortcut
to them or add them to your toolbars or menus
if you want to use them.
