Creating a Cr owd System
The following is a basic procedure for creating and
using a crowd system:
1. Add a
Crowd helper (page 2–1008)
object.
The crowd helper is the controlling object for
theentirecrowdsimulation.
2. Create a
Delegate helper (page 2–1008)
object.
Thisisaprototypeforyourcrowd;a
representative member.
3. On the Modify p anel >
Motion rollout (page
2–1035)
, set appropriate speed and turning
limits for the delegate.
This is analogous to defining how a particular
animal or object moves. Is it a bird, a fish, a
slug, or an airplane?
4. Make clones of the delegate, either with
3ds Max clone tools, or by
scattering delegates
