Shutting Down QBox. QBox can be shutdown from the System Operations menu at
any time, even when in prompt mode.
1. Press the F4 key to display the System Operations menu.
2. Use the Down arrow key to highlight the Shut down QBox and power off option.
3. Press Enter.
4.3: Direct and network connections to a QBox
The number of QBoxes you plan to use will determine the type of connection required.
• If you plan to deploy a single QBox system then you can use a direct
connection.
• If you plan to operate multiple QBoxes from a central control computer you
will need to establish a small or large-scale network.
4.3.1: Ethernet network
An Ethernet connection should be used when using an existing network such as a LAN or when
you wish to connect multiple QBoxes within the same system.
NOTE: It is possible to use an Ethernet connection for a single QBox system, but
you will need to use a hub or switch to act as the connecting element in the
network.
