Adjusting the color depth: 1) Right-click on the desktop 2) Select “Screen Resolution” 3) Click “Advanced settings” 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) Click the tab under that box labeled “Monitor” Underneath “Colors” you will see a drop down that selection that you can click. Click the down arrow and make sure “High Color (16 bit)” is selected.
Adjusting the resolution: 1) Right-click on the desktop 2) Select “Screen Resolution” 3) Click the down arrow on the same row as “Resolution” and select the lowest (bottommost) resolution you can. *Note: certain resolutions are inherently widescreen (e.g. 16:9) or 4:3 in their proportions.
