User Guide
1. Easy Afghan
This afghan is worked in a flat piece. Do not connect the last
stitch to the first stitch on the loom.
Stitches: E-wrap Stitch, Purl Stitch
Yarn: 1,400 yards of boucle style yarn. Sample uses Lion
Brand Homespun.
Notions: Knitting tool, measuring tape.
Size: 40” X 60”
Instructions:
Cast on all 198 pegs.
Row 1: Single e-wrap stitch to the end of the row.
Row 2: Purl to the end of the row.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until panel measures 60” long.
Remove item from the knitting loom using the Basic Bind Off
method.
Option: Add fringe to the cast-on edge and to the bind-off
edge of the blanket. Weave ends in.
2. Basketweave Blanket
Worked in a flat piece. Do not connect the last stitch to the
first stitch.
Stitches: Knit stitch and purl stitch. The stitch pattern uses 8
pegs, repeating every 8 pegs. (Tip: Place a stitch marker on
every 8th peg to help you keep track of the pattern.)
Yarn: 800 yards of worsted weight yarn. Sample uses Red
Heart Soft in Turquoise.
Notions: Knitting tool, measuring tape, crochet hook
Size: 60” X 42”
Instructions:
Cast on 184 pegs using the e-wrap method.
Row 1, 2, 3, 4: Knit pegs 1 through 4, purl pegs 5 through
8, (helpful to use stitch markers) knit pegs 9 through 12, purl
pegs 13 through 16 (place stitch markers). Continue this pat-
tern sequence to the end of the row.
Row 5, 6, 7, 8: Purl pegs 1 through 4, knit pegs 5 through
8, purl pegs 9 through 12, knit pegs 13 through 16. Continue
this pattern sequence to the end of the row.
Repeat Rows 1-8 until blanket measures 42”.
Remove from the knitting loom using the Basic Bind Off
method.
Use single crochet stitch to make a border around the blanket.
Weave ends in.
Block lightly.
3. Striped Blanket
Worked in a flat piece. Do not connect first stitch to last stitch
on the loom.
Yarn: 800 yards worsted weight yarn. Red Heart Soft used
in sample. Colors, Chocolate, Off White, Seafoam, and
Honey were used in sample (1 skein each). A=Seafoam
B=Chocolate C=Off White D=Honey
Stitches: Knit Stitch and Purl Stitch
Notions: knitting tool, measuring tape, row counter.
Size: 50” X 50”
When joining yarn, join at the beginning of a new row.
Leave a 6” yarn tail of the old color and the new color. Join
the yarns by making a knot close to the work. Place a stitch
marker on peg 6 and on peg 186.
Cast on 190 pegs using Yarn A.
Row 1: Knit to the end of the row.
Row 2: Purl to the end of the row.
Row 3: Knit to the end of the row.
Row 4: Purl to the end of the row.
Row 5: Knit to the end of row.
Row 6: Purl 5, knit to peg 185, purl last 5 pegs.
Row 7: Knit to the end of row.
Row 8: Purl 5, knit to peg 185, purl last 5 pegs.
Row 9: Knit to the end of row.
Row 10: Purl 5, knit to peg 185, purl last 5 pegs.
Join B, and continue as follows:
Row 21: Knit to the end of row.
Row 22: Purl 5, knit to peg 185, purl last 5 pegs.
Repeat Rows 21 and 22 until piece measures 38” long.
Change yarns every 10 rows, follow this color sequence A,
B, C, D. On the last color change, work 6 rows in established
pattern. Work last 4 rows as follows:
