5. TPMS Sensor Programming
The Programming function allows users to program the sensor data to
the MX-Sensor and replace faulty sensor with low battery life or one
that is not functioning. The scan tool is easy-to-use with a proven
efficiency and guaranteed accurate results.
NOTE: Programming function will only work with Autel’s
MX-Sensor. Currently, there are two models available: Clamp-in
Sensor and Snap-in Sensor, both with two types, one in orange
color with 433MHz frequency, and one in dark gray color with
315MHz frequency. The Clamp-in Sensor is taken as an example
in this manual. Please choose the right MX-Sensor when
programming.
Under All Wheels mode, there are four options available when
programming MX-Sensor using this scan tool: Auto Create, Manual
Create, Copy by OBD, and Copy by Activation.
Under One Wheel mode, you can rapidly program more than 5
MX-Sensors for the same vehicle model at a time with three options:
Copy by Activation, Auto Create and Manual Create. That is really
convenient for tire shops.
5.1 Auto Create
This function is designed to program the MX-Sensor by applying
random IDs created according to the test vehicle, when it is unable to
obtain the original sensor ID.
1) Use the UP/DOWN scroll button and the LEFT/RIGHT scroll
button to select TPMS from Main Menu (Figure 3.1), and press
the Y button to confirm.
2) From the vehicle make screen, select a specific vehicle brand and
press the Y button (Take Chrysler as an example).
