TPMS Check
The Check function allows user to activate TPMS sensor to view sensor
data such as sensor ID, tire pressure, tire temperature, battery condition
and sensor position.
To check the sensors
1. Follow the steps in Vehicle Identification on page 21 to identify the
test vehicle.
2. Place the Display Tablet near the wheel with the top right corner
(the TPMS antenna locates) of the tablet close to the sensor
mounted on the wheel.
3. Move the cursor to the corresponding wheel on the screen and
then tap Trigger to activate this sensor.
4. Once the sensor is successfully triggered, the information of the
sensor will be displayed on the right table on the screen.
NOTE
The default check order on the Display Tablet is FL, FR, RR, RL and the
wheel positions are associated with the rows in the right table. If you select
FR in the right table, the cursor on the left vehicle icon will be automatically
moved to FR position. You can also change the check order by manually
move the cursor to other wheels.
If the battery level of a sensor is low, a red low battery icon appears
beside the sensor on the screen.
The colors appear on the wheel icons on the screen show different
triggering results. Refer to Table 6-1 Possible Results for Triggering on
page 81 for details.
