Aerial Benchmarking is a British program that specifies minimum 
performance standards for UHF Digital TV.
Conformance is determined by independent Test Houses and 
covers specifications like Gain, Impedance Match, Directivity 
and rejection of Feeder Pick-Up. The implications are particularly 
interesting for areas of Australia where UHF is intended for use for 
Digital TV.
Antennas that have been approved will display a “mark”, 
confirming that the required standard has been reached. 
Although this benchmark is not a legal requirement, experience 
in the industry has indicated that it will be to the industry’s 
advantage to supply equipment to this recommendation.
