9. How long is the cable which can support on each serial port ?
The longest cable for supporting serial port is 15 meter.
10. What security features does the 16-port console terminal drawer support?
The 16-port console terminal’s user database supports up to 200 user accounts, which include user names,
passwords, plus specifi cations of access rights. User defi nitions can be changed at any time.
11. What I can’t access the local console, after press the “Shift-Ecs” key to reset default value ?
After press the “Shift+Esc” to reset the defualt value, the pre-set operating parameters are changed.
You need to change the setting as below :
In SETUP menu
(1) Press F1 Disp,
Display: change the CRT to LCD (press SpaceBar to change)
(2) Press F2 Genrl,
Personality: change the Wyse 120 to VT100,
(3) Press F4 Comm,
Baud rate: change 38400 to 9600.
Parity: None (unchange)
Data/Stop Bits: 8/1 (unchange)
Rcv Hndshake: change Xon/Xoff to None
Xmt Hndshake: change Xon/ Xoff to None.
(4) Press F12 Exit, press “SpaceBar”, then “Enter” to save the setting.
12. How can I change the different serial ports in local console?
Press Ctrl + C, you will quit the serial port, it will be back to serial to serial (S to S) menu.
13. What is the default IP setting?
The default is
IP mode:Static
IP address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway:192.168.0.254
