Introduction

Thank you for choosing Auray.

The Auray ABP series Boom Pole is a lightweight and durable solution

for Electronic News Gathering (ENG), Electronic Field Production

(EFP), documentary, and other ﬁeld recording applications. By placing

the microphone close to the subject while remaining at a distance or

1. While ﬁrmly holding the boom pole, loosen the twist locks and

extend the sections.

2. Once extended to the desired length, securely tighten the twist

locks.

3. To collapse the boom pole, loosen all twist locks and return the

sections to their minimized position. Once the boom pole is

collapsed, re-tighten the locks.

Note: The anti-twist alignment design makes it possible to loosen all

the twist locks at the same time.

While ﬁrmly holding the boom pole, grasp all of the twist locks with

one hand and loosen them all with one motion. Once the twist locks

are loosened, tip the boom pole downward, and the sections should

slide to their fully-extended

positions.
