6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precautions
ELIMINATE all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames in immediate area). Avoid
contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental Precautions
Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas.
Methods for Containment
If possible, turn leaking containers so that gas escapes rather than liquid.
Methods for Cleaning Up
Dam up. Cover liquid spill with sand, earth or other noncombustible absorbent material. Pick up
and transfer to properly labeled containers. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly. Take
precautionary measures against static discharges.

Ventilate the area.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with
eyes. Avoid breathing vapors or mists. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources
of ignition. Contents under pressure. Do not puncture or incinerate cans.
Storage
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep out of the reach of
children. Keep in properly labeled containers. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and
sources of ignition.
