Connecting Analog End Devices Directly to the Internal a/b Port
Analog End Devices
An internal analog port is suitable for connecting one of the following end devices:
• Analog telephone with DTMF dialling, e. g. COMfortel 500
Important: Devices using dual-tone multi-frequency dialling must be
equipped with a Flash key (also referred to as signal key R).
Note: When using a T-Net-capable analog telephone, most T-Net functions
can be used via the existing function keys on the telephone.
• Analog telephone with pulse dialling
Important: Devices using pulse dialling cannot use the full range of features.
• Analog fax machine
• Modem
Important: If the external port of the PBX is connected to an NGN access,
the transmission of the fax/modem signals will not be possible due to the
possible use of compressing codecs.
• Analog answering machine
• a/b door terminal system, e. g. TFS-Dialog 200/300, TFS-Universal a/b
Connecting Analog End Devices Directly to the Internal a/b Port
Requirements:
– Cover panel is removed
– Minimal distance between the devices
Note: If the end device is placed a larger distance away from the PBX, the
cable and the wall sockets must be permanently installed.
– Use of a/b ports on the basic unit
