Firmware Update
Initiating an Instant Firmware Update via the Update Server
1. Open the page SERVICE > Firmware update/restart > Firmware update.
2. Click Browse (this text is dependent on the operating system used) under Manual
firmware update.
A file selection dialog opens.
3. Select the file you want (*.rom) and click Open (this text is dependent on the operating
system used).
The path and the file name are displayed in the Firmware file field.
4. Click Store in PBX.
The firmware update is started. As soon as the firmware file has been saved in the
PBX, you will receive a message.
Further steps:
– In order to use new features after a firmware update, you normally need a new version of the
operating manual. This is available per download from the support pages at the Auerswald
web site (Internet address: www.auerswald.de).
Initiating an Instant Firmware Update via the Update Server
Initiation can be carried out as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– The PBX connected to broadband Internet access
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Configured address of the update server
– A configured DNS server and, if necessary, an HTTP proxy server
1. Open the page SERVICE > Firmware update/restart > Firmware update.
2. Click Start update under Instant firmware update.
The firmware update is performed.
