Configuring a Ringer Rhythm for External Calls via the Point-to-Point Connection
The ringer rhythm indicates which tone sequence is being used to signal external calls, made
on the telephone number assigned to the point-to-point connection, to the internal PBX
subscribers.
Note:
Signaling is carried out by analog devices as described.
ISDN devices generate their own call tone/ringer rhythm. For more infor-
mation, refer to the description of your ISDN end device.
The configuration can be made as follows:
Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
External S
0
port (only COMpact 3000 ISDN or COMpact ISDN module available as an
option) or/and VoIP account in the connection type point-to-point connection
Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the connection in question.
A page opens for configuring the connection in question.
3. Open one of the following pages:
ISDN connection > Telephone numbers
VoIP connection > Telephone numbers
Note: The configuration is also provided during the quick configuration using
the configuration wizard.
4. Select one of the following options in the Ringer rhythm list field.
