Entering Telephone Numbers for the VoIP Point-to-Multipoint Connection
The multiple subscriber number indicates which digit sequence a caller must dial in order to
establish the VoIP point-to-multipoint connection.
The point-to-multipoint connection has up to ten multiple subscriber numbers. The VoIP
provider allocates the telephone numbers for the connection.
The entry can be made as follows:
Separately for VoIP accounts
Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center) in the connection type point-to-multipoint connection
Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the VoIP connection in question.
A page opens for configuring the VoIP connection.
3. Open the page VoIP connection > Telephone numbers.
Note: The entry is also provided during the quick configuration using the
configuration wizard.
4. In the list field at the top, select the account in question by its name.
5. In the From entry field under Multiple Subscriber Number (MSN), enter the digit
sequence with the local area code (local dialling code) that you received from your
VoIP provider for the account. The following entries are possible:
Note: The country prefix is entered for the location (CONFIGURATION >
External numbers > Location). If the account of the VoIP provider requires
different country prefixes, these prefixes together with the city code must
precede every VoIP phone number entered.
